How to unlock 5th map slot?

I've done 3 10-boss maven invitations, 2 completely with new maps from the 3.26 league. I can't do T17s because my character is too squishy and I don't have the play time to farm hundreds of divines or whatever to buy new gear, I utterly detest the pure random crafting that is in game so that is out for getting better gear too so please don't tell me to "git gud" or whatever.

All I want is to know how to unlock a map slot with the maven invitation because something isn't working for me. I read the wiki and it doesn't seem to indicate anything special you have to do so I am at a loss.

It sounds like it's a lingering issue, which I don't really have a good answer for.

From what I remember, when they went from 5-slot max (unlocked via T17) to 6-slot max (unlocked via 10-way + T17), there was an issue with how the unlocks were handled. It didn't just affect players in Standard, but also Settlers players who had been migrating out of private leagues. Players who had already done a 10-way Maven Invite, after migrating, were counting as though they had unlocked a slot without actually unlocking it, so they were short a slot.



I think that if you migrate into Standard (from SSF Standard, a private league, or from the the challenge league when it ends) with the 5th slot unlocked, it'll unlock the slot for you in Standard.

Other than that....unfortunately, can only recommend clearing a T17. Others who reported this issue also reported that clearing a T17 unlocked both the 5th and 6th slots for them.

Killing Maven or completing 1 T17 will unlock an additional slot in your map device.

If T17s arent an option then Maven it is.
