Not strong enough for general content

I am playing cyclone slayer. I have 14 000 effective life according to PoB. With 90 000 dps on cyclone. Getting one shot on tier 4 maps by mercenaries and sometimes just overwhelmed by mobs. Am i playing the game incorrectly or what?

14k EHP and 90k dps seems very, very low.

Go to poe.ninja and compare yourself to other Cyclone players.

I think your DPS is killing you more than your defenses. Get yourself at least a 5L. And getting some frenzy charges wouldn't hurt, when you're wielding that sword. Are you even sure you're maintaining 23 fortification stacks?

The content seems extra rippy and if you have a merc hp% is higher so you will require more dps in general, and things take longer to die which increases your chance of ripping.

As for raw stats i did t1-8 with about 2.4k es/hp, bricked chaos res, uncapped res and around 90k dps. Doing 14s now with 5k es/hp (8k phys ehp + 30k ele ehp) and it's rough but manageable, did blackstar/first eater boss just before, the dps is to low >.<!

The way the gear multiplies the damage of the mercs is scuffed. The only solution is to oneshot them before they oneshot you.
