Workers vanished

Logged in after a hiatus and noticed that all of my workers in my settlement have just up and vanished.

I read the latest patch notes and I see that the settlement is now a part of the base game and comes pre-built, but I can't find anything about workers going on strike.

The character I experienced this on was Skelltera, who was a part of the Settlers SSF league.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?
