Crash on AMD 7900 XTX
Bug Report ID: #871941558
With this new patch I am getting occasional graphics freezes. The game client does not crash, graphics freeze, reset and game continues (and I occasionally die :D) My computer is has the following specifications: CPU: AMD 7800 X3D GPU: MSI 7900 XTX Memory: 64GB 6000MT DDR5 HDD: 2TB Western Digital 850x Windows 11 24H2 - OSBuild 26100.4351 Display Driver: 25.6.1 I just recently did a complete driver update using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely clear out the driver. Reinstalled a fresh download, problem persists. Game settings: It was DX11. Patch Reset to DX12 - Same problem persists. Resolution: 2560x1440 Vsync: locked Triple buffering: disabled Engine multithreading: Enabled The AMD driver has prepared a package to upload to AMD for analysis which I have done already. I have not attached it here in this public forum in case there is personal information embedded in it. To update this thread - just experience another crash that took me out of the game completely.
Interestingly, I did have a popup dialogue box appear that references DX11 even though I am using DX12. ![]() I never experienced anything like this prior to this patch. I will add one more reply to this thread for the sake of complete transparency.
at the time of the crash, I am running PoE Overlay in the background, I have Path of Building open on a second monitor, and I have Microsoft Edge open watching a YouTube video. |

I am going to add one more time to this thread, and I hope to hear back from the devs.
![]() This is the AMD Driver dialogue that appears after each screen freeze/crash. I hope this can be please addressed. the game is completely unplayable because of the randomness of these crashes. |

These issues started yesterday for me 6/25/25.
I'm getting these same crashes. same D3D11 error. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 32 GB ram 2 Monitor Set up same resolution on each monitor 1440p DX12 when mapping both monitors go black then i get the D3D11 error and POE crashes. i often play and watch twitch or youtube on chrome or firefox, been trying both since the issues have been happening. |
