What is the best course of action after 3.26 hits?

In the Phrecia league, I've been using https://poe-beginner-guide.com as it explains just about everything you could want from a beginner-friendly guide to PoE.

However, it's based on 3.24 and the writer of the guide has no intentions to update it.

So what should I do in 3.26? There are likely going to be a lot of changes to builds and I doubt that a 3.24 build is still going to be viable.

There'll most likely be build guides on sites like Maxroll available, however with most of those I have no idea what half of the stuff means.

Why not simply try to figure out what that stuff means? It'll allow you to go for more intricate, stronger builds.

If you're simply looking for build resources you can find a lot of them on the pathofexilebuilds subreddit and in content-creator specific spreadsheets.

Thanks for the resources, I'll try and figure that stuff out when 3.26 hits. Excited to see what the endgame has to offer in the next league, in Phrecia I simply didn't have much time and ended up at Act 3 only.
It takes time, enjoy the journey, you're only new once. (Read the in-game help, use the wiki.)

I have been reading about just going blind into PoE and figuring stuff out on myself, and that's actually exactly what I did on my first character, however I didn't manage to even finish Act 1 before bricking it.

That's why I made a second character, but this time using the Beginner Guide, and I got to Act 2 and didn't brick (I just didn't have time to play PoE).

I've bought LE, went in blind (no guide), and currently am at like Chapter 4 and still have no problems. Though I have no idea if LE actually is an easier ARPG or if it is because I had some experience from PoE already.
What exactly do you mean by « bricking » ?

Especially now that we have re-specialization with gold (already in Phrecia, but even in Standard now).

Oh, really? I thought you still needed reg orbs for that.
They are still an option.

But talk to Bestel.
(Was Faustus in Kingsmarch in the Settlers leagues like Phrecia.)
