League Starters for those seeking it and more

Hey all, I have had a number of personal life issues to deal with and I need to put in overtime in my life and that means stepping away from gaming completely very soon. I assume, I'm probably not the only one in the community experiencing this reality. I have a background in high level Network and Network Security with a lot of other types of “IT” Support behind it. At my age, I got to start looking to hustle again since I'm almost out of savings and the job market for my industry has become bloated and volatile despite is being reported.

That being said, I wanted to impart a league starter idea that I've done. I know my history in the forums is short lived on this account but I've been a part of playing this game for \about a decade and think a few new people would appreciate simple builds if you're newer. I wing all my builds off the dome to some degree but a lot of that comes from the decade of knowledge. I might come back and add more in the future. I had a great TS Champion with Perseverance before. Many other great builds. A few minion ones but I need to make sure they can work now after so many years.

This is not a guide. These are simple builds. There are more than enough videos out there on how to level as a specific class and ascendancy. Just change the build mentioned in said video/guide to the ones below and you'll be fine.

Note, I am not a fan of automating. I think of the more buttons I press, the more fun the character is. I don't like automating b/c it can waste excellent sockets for abyss jewels, other effective gems, or it can make the skill less effective and I rather have max effectiveness. In addition, I tend to be themed. Feel free to change out certain skills like Flame Dash with another movement skill if you'd like.

I typically do my utility flasks with my “3” key or a friend of mine uses Space Bar. I ALWAYS do Aliria in the bandit quest. 45% Ele Res is the most bang for your buck, permanent buff in the game and it makes your build much more budget friendly for a starter.

Newb notes: Remember to always have a staff with reduced attributes mod for weapon swap and fill it up with gems to level up for future use or to sell.

League Starter Suggestion. I added a Slayer Cyclone simply because I used to have success with it and I enjoyed it compared to other automated cyclones.

Lvl ~70

Chief Firestorm T1

Lvl ~80+ (2 void stone ready)

Chief Firestorm progress Tier 2

Lvl ~90+ (4 Void Stone Ready or more)

Chief Firestorm Progress Tier 3, a current build in my profile (for fun, only do if you enjoyed getting to the T2 stage, still explode based)

Slayer Cyclone 2h Mace

Atlas Tree suggestions for newb league starters.

I know that new league hasn't started and this might need some tweaking based on patch updates and things. We will see if I can update in time. I really have a lot to work on right now. I even have to give up volunteer time to pick up some cabling gigs and things. So we will see.

Continued

Here are General Farming Strategies that I believe yield some of the better results for the game. Note that I always include some Jun possibilities simply because of the crafts. These are not perm atlas tree suggestions. This is league starter tier.

Harbinger (potential mirror shards, early exalts, and Fracture orbs sell well or have high utility for yourself), Starter Atlas below (probably the most friendly starting atlas)

Harvest (harvest = chaos/div...that simple), Starter Atlas below

Breaches (Breachstones sell well and services sell well), Starter Atlas below

I'd avoid expedition since Rog and gwen virtually never yield high tier bases for some reason and the currencies don't sell as well as they used to. Expedition is primarily good for SSF.

I think post league start trees are abundant and all over the place. I think there is a general lack of league start advice out there so that's why I'm posting this.

If you like other content, then do what you like. I do not play for MAX EFFECIENCY. I play 70% for fun and 30% for loot.

Last piece of advice is to play some delve. It's a great break from mapping and a great place to get some extra maps, currency, rares, unique, and if you get lucky and find a boss, you can get some really good stuff nice and early to sell.

If you need to level you can also spec into abyss and there is a way for abyss to grant extra XP which is very noticeable before you hit about level 94.
