Windows 11 cursor lock

Hello,

Just upgraded to windows 11 and now both games dont allow the Win key to unlock my cursor. I am forced to use alt tab in a game where both alt and tab are in use. I guess windowed screen is not borderless screen... why did it worked with win10 then?

Is it a windows 11 problem or a poe problem because i know it's really easy to assign key to unlock cursor in games. Is there a fix coming?

Not being able to switch instantly between the game and my other tabs makes me think twice before opening the game. It's that annoying.

Is this a pre-built HP PC?

Searched for this and I am also bothered by this since I upgraded to Windows 11 last league. First I thought it was just a Windows 11 thing, but any other game I play in Windowed Fullscreen mode with Confine Mouse To Window (or what it would be named in the other game) does not have this issue.

Only alt+tab and only when you have another window open, e.g. on your 2nd monitor, frees the cursor from the game's boundaries and you're able to move the cursor across. Another thing to note is that it doesn't matter if the display you play on is set to your primary or secondary monitor. Another strange thing: Pressing the window key lets you type in the search bar of the start menu, so it should be "in focus" and free the cursor, but doesn't.

Anyways, this is bothersome in a couple of ways:
- needing another window open for it to work half conveniently, because otherwise you'd need to open something else with your keyboard
- I find the alt+tab placement weird for my thumb and just way less convenient to press
- Not confining mouse to window is not optimal
- using fullscreen is even less optimal, especially if your monitor needs to use DSC
- minimizing or closing one window you just tabbed to, focuses the game again and oyu have to alt+tab again if you wanted to keep your cursor on the other monitor
