How does this Flask work?

I thought I could use it to imitate The Surrender.
(Just with life on damage taken insteadt Life on Block).
But I don't notice any difference.
The Leech values in the screenshot don't change.

If it works, do I leech from incoming damage without attacking myself?
And if so, is it instant or like recover over 4 seconds?

This is what PoB says:

And why Leech on Hit, when the Flask states Leech on Damage taken?
Isn't that contradictory?

Strangly enough, its shows nothing if i check Onslaught in the Config.
I assume thats a bug?
Im bad at math.

I think you take damage and it creates a leech instance. I don't believe it is instant by default, maybe it is if you have sources that make your leech instant though. Should follow all the rules for leech.

Not certain without seeing the POB, but some of those increases are coming from onslaught. It may be effecting the recovery values as well.

I don't believe the leech from the flask will be included in the POB values, because it is conditional on how much damage you take. Typically this kind of stuff isn't shown, but there might be a way to enable it.

It will not alter the maximum values of your leech. It might help you get to those maximum values if you are not already reaching them.

I think it is already calculating the onslaught values if you have the flask ticked. I think the ticking of the boxes in the config window can be for other purposes, like conditional effects on other items or ability to select things that are not on your build. So if you don't already have onslaught and you tick it, it will increase, but if you already have it, it has already been applied, just the box in the config doesn't automatically get ticked.

If you are already leeching it might not be that helpful. It could possible help you in situations where you can't leech for some reason. I think people use it on boss phases where you cant attack but can be damaged, such as exarch ball phase, or possibly builds that don't have a source of leech. Probably the affix on the shield is more useful if you have a source of leech, because it can stack on top of your leech.

Thx

So back to Quartz Flask/Immun to Poison.
I hate to press the life flask button.
It cripples my understanding of a tanky build.
