Thorns damage not counted for ailments with Barbs

When dealing damage with a strike that is supported by Barbs, the thorns damage dealt by the attack is not counted for the ailment application. Tested with Splinter of Loratta and the poison applied was only dealing damage based on the base damage from the spear rather than the full damage of the attack

Bumping this as I have tested the same interaction and confirmed it does not apply the barbs damage. Clarification on if the thorns damage from barbs is intended to be part of the hit and not a separate damage application is needed.

bump as i also tested this, can confirm splinter + barbs doesn't work together

Can also confirm this. Tried it with bleed with splinter of L, Ignite with AoF and poison with that poison glove.

Edit: On that Note, barbs/quill overkill damage also does not proc Herald of Ash's overkill damage. I'm not sure if that's also the case for other overkill things but it seems that those 2 supports don't really count as "attacks" or "hits" and therefore not proccing/scaling attack/hit related things. Probably affecting even more things.
