Maps should have more Linear layout or add SPRINT mode !

Most of time playing this game i've realized im just "running" walking around looking for quests or looking for remamining mobs...


Basically this is very very annoying not revarding and time consuming
completely ruins game experience.


So my proposal is, either make maps more linear
or add SPRINT function

Sprint function:

takes 1 - 2 seconds to activate, disables Damaging skills while in Sprint mode
Makes your character able to RUN at 100% - 200% of your walk speed.
at the end of the sprint 1 - 2 seconds cooldown before using any active skills

There are speed enchantments/gear ingame that can have you going faster than a sprint. I am not sure but I think part of the game is to get em for faster running..also we dont exactly have to run around in this game..its basically tp to map..start killing.. repeat.

While "sprint mode" was leaked out....

For the love of.....what is it with POE players and speed. Is it some new generation thing I'm too old to understand (not that old, but I sure do feel old after reading all of the demands people have here).

The game is already ruined with multiple ways to make you "not play" the game. Why do you want more? What is next....a slot machine that just randomly kills monsters and you get loot popups?

Are POE players unwilling to play the game, or is it truly something I'm too much of an old fart to get?

this is not new, years ago we had the same threads, and i remember making a joke about your map device just spitting out the average amount of currency instead of you actually running the map. i remember that joke because few years later they actually put it into the game...

I think u misunderstand OP a little bit here.

He's not advocating for "skipping the game", but he wants the boring parts to be over faster, so he can get back into the action. If anything, it's the opposite of what u think. He wants to play more instead of less.

Basically what he wants is a quicksilver flask. Something u activate when out of combat to traverse the map a bit faster.
