Why does this game keep crashing on my gaming laptop?

I just bought a new laptop, and cannot play this game. I come from console and cannot play mouse & keyboard at all. Is the controller addition crashing my game from loading either into the game, or crashing for warp area instance? Cannot play and frustrating to play on PC and would rather play console

You have sounds enabled.
Disable 'em via an INI edit. It'd be nice to not hard freeze. Just saying. YES I AM INSANE, ZANA! :>

Its this game Spaghetti Code and GGG's unwillingness to do anything about it.
