Game freezing regularly

Game is regularly freezing on load screens between zones or on start up. Sometimes it works fine for a short period, but other times it repeatedly freezes over and over again on the character selection. Gears will start turning then stop and freeze. I also am occassionally getting freezes within a zone, but much less regular.

Changing servers from Australia to Singapore or Auckland seems to help a little, but the freezes still occur. I played with no issues a few weeks ago in the previous league. I have tried some of the basic troubleshooting steps but no success.
