Cant get past gears loading

After choosing character and hitting the play butting the game just hangs at the screen just before the game screen.

same here. any help? frozen at loading screen

After uninstalling, reinstalling, doing the packcheck, clearing caches and config files and everything else that was recommended, I ended up rolling back my Nvidia drivers back to April and that stopped the crashes.

It's really tiresome playing wack-a-mole with my drivers and game patches. Things will work great for a long time, and then a game patch or a driver update will break things again.
