EU Servers Latency Problem
Hello!
I've been having latency issues with the game for a few days now. It's been crashing frequently, going up to 20,000 ms randomly when I've changed zones, teleported, or even looked into my chest. As of this afternoon, latency is jumping between 60-200 on all EU servers. I've created a log of my last login based on what support suggested.I hope it helps you find the problem. Thanks for the help! https://pastebin.com/fphgmQup Last bumped on Oct 28, 2024, 4:44:44 PM

" Looks like packet loss is starting mid-route on twelve99.net | |
Is there anything I can do to improve or fix it?

You can try to route around that with a VPN and hope the path the connection takes changes. But, that can cost money and is not as optimal as your normal connection.
Or, you can try to contact your ISP and hope they are willing to reach out to the backbone provider and give your ISP as much collected data as possible. (your traces... a few preferably) Sometimes these issues get resolved on their own when the managing company of these middle route providers get a notification of failure or over saturation/utilization. A lot of players on here say their ISP's won't or don't assist with these issues and it likely depends on the country or the ISP they're dealing with. Here in the US every ISP around me would definitely reach out at the network level to the hand off partner and ask them to look into their issue after they've validated the information provided to them. One last thing is some of the issues players claim about the ping skyrocketing into the hundreds or thousands and don't have any solid info in their WinMTR's may not be what appears to be your issue. good luck, hopefully something can get resolved. Edit: It would be a really good idea to contact your ISP when the trace is having the issue so hopefully it can be seen in real time. Last edited by ps7ekken on Oct 28, 2024, 4:17:17 PM

Thank you for your answer!
Until I found this program here on the forum, with which I can do the troubleshooting, I never knew what could be the reason for this. I'll see what I can do with my service provider on this matter. Then I start thinking about using a VPN, because this latency often lasts for days or even a week. |
