unexpected disconnection occured

I've had this problem for two days now; I can't seem to log into the game because of an 'unexpected disconnection'. I've tried switching gateways, but it didn't work. I've also read in the forums that reinstalling the game doesn't work and I'm quite apprehensive to try.
