Suggestions for Improvements to Maintain Interest at the End of Path of Exile Leagues
Good morning!
I've been playing Path of Exile for a long time, and something I've noticed — both for myself and, perhaps, for many other players — is that once we've completed the league challenges, it feels like there's nothing left to do in the game. I'm not sure if this would be possible, but I think it could be a motivation for some players, maybe not for everyone, but it would be interesting if, upon reaching level 100, there was a ranked experience (XP) bar. This XP bar would continue infinitely, creating an extra XP ladder for all players. When this extra XP leveled up, a notification would appear in the chat, announcing that an extra level had been reached. I believe this would be exciting for those who enjoy competing in the rankings. Many might think that this idea is similar to the Delve system, but that's not the case. In Delve, you need a specific build to progress efficiently. However, with this proposed extra XP ladder, all players would have access to this additional XP bar, regardless of their build. This would allow everyone to see their ongoing and competitive progress, providing another reason to stay engaged with the game, even after completing the league challenges. I am a big fan of end of the league events, gauntlet is fun, as well as atlas invasion.
Endless delve is pretty cool, im not certain that endless heist would be as fun without alt quality gems. |

Eh the point of reaching lvl 100 besides the skill points it gives obviously, is to stop worrying about dying because you can't loose xp anymore. This would kind of defeat that purpuse.
Would be cool tho to have as someone sugested, the xp bar change when reaching lvl 100, maybe like a orange bright colour with animation. That would give a reason for people to try and get lvl 100 more often. Seeing Delve depth appear in chat is cool because of how hard it is to reach that depth (both having a good build and having the mental fortitude), grinding xp would be literally just spamming breach strats/5ways. Not really a "prestige" thing to appear in chat. Last edited by Satan on Feb 10, 1692, 10:00:00 PM

Feel like making alts and trying out new things fills the space enough for me.
Sucks that its not... the most approachable thing (no campaign skip) I think the prestige thing is not something I would like, but maybe adding in some extra events that are rewarding like: "This week you have an increased chance to find a double corrupt room in your maps" "This week you have an increased chance for crops to not wilt..." Etc.. can be stuff like that for people who reached end game obviously, like 4 void stones required. Maybe stuff outside of modifiers we already have too... theres a bunch they could do, if they were interested in retaining players past a certain week threshold. Mash the clean

" This would be ok if they made voidstone runs a solo event |

For myself it's more the early league.
Once I get to maps I get bored pretty quickly. The progression through maps is so fast these days you can clear the atlas and all normal bosses in 2 weeks then there's just a void of any meaningful progression. I like making builds and that's most of what keeps me coming back each league. Since PoE2 the leagues aren't even close to keeping interest with the same old map spam tactics. They really should take a page from Diablo 1 instead of trying so hard to be Diablo 2. In D1 no matter what you were doing in a dungeon level. It was worth while thanks to the lack Magic Find and Enemy Density. Less and more meaningful enemies is what the game needs and not blanket modifiers. It doesn't need to go full Rogue-lite but caring about enemy types should be a thing. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac
