MTX Trial?

I enjoy Righteous Fire, but the bright orange really hurts my eyes sometimes. I'd like to buy an MTX to change it, but I don't want to waste my points, and I can't get a good sense of how they will look in the various circumstances (particularly in the darker maps) from the preview videos.

It would be nice if I could trial them for a while in order to make a decision on which one if any to spring-for. =(

Planet Side 2 has (had?) a mechanic where it would let you trial a gun for like 2 hours every 30 days. Would be nice to have something like that here.
