Some Tweaks to Crit Strike Affliction (and Friends) to avoid Anti-Synergy with Perfect Agony
In 3.25, Perfect Agony was adjusted to override DoT multiplier with Crit multiplier instead of adding Crit Multi to DoT multi at reduced effect. This is fine, but it did leave a number of gems and passive skills in the cold. For example, Crit Strike Affliction:
" and the notable "Dire Torment": " These are a handful, but there are a number of passive modifiers and unique items that are made flat out useless for a build archetype that normally would've loved them. This makes Perfect Agony builds feel like they have fewer options than ordinary ailment builds or even builds that explicitly avoid crits (like w/ Resolute Technique). My request is to either adjust PA so that it can still take advantage of these sources or to adjust the mods so that they still work with PA. Perfect Agony could read like this: "Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments is equal to Critical Strike Multiplier" -> "Modifiers to Critical Strike Multilpier also apply to Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments from Critical Strikes at 80% of their value" Or you could change the mods like this: Critical Strike Affliction "Supported skills have +(70-98)% DoT multi for ailments from crits" -> "Ailments caused by critical strikes with supported skills deal (35-48)% more damage" Phlebotomist "+6% to physical DoT multi if you've crit recently" -> "8% increased physical damage over time if you've crit recently" Just some ideas, mostly I just wanna see the build options and creative options increase.
