Chat Moderation
It's been over a decade since first playing Path of Exile and I've witnessed the absolute tyranny of censorship within global chats. A large portion of the fun in any online game, comes from the community banter and lately this has been impossible due to abhorrent moderation practices. It's unclear to me whether Bots are being deployed or if these mutes are manually implemented by disgruntled employees. GGG should remain a neutral company, allowing free speech within reason, rather than showing political/religious biases--or whatever other current year agendas. Path of Exile is one of the last bastions of fun in this industry and should remain dedicated to providing that fun as a business. Making jokes in global chat cannot be grounds for muting individuals who're trying to have fun with others. Why not make an offline mode if so concerned about wrongthink and global taboos?
Whatever the case may be, bots or tyrannical minds, I personally, who has spent more money on this game than my entire Steam library combined, will no longer be supporting Path of Exile monetarily until there's a neutral resolution to the unfair mutes. There is literally no reason to play a game that doesn't want your money, right Ubisoft, Sony? GGG? Last edited by ThomasK_GGG on Sep 17, 2024, 4:24:52 PM Last bumped on Sep 17, 2024, 4:21:18 PM
