Character won't load/launch

The last time I played was on 8/21/2024. When I tried to play on 8/26, I get to the splash screen where it says the town that is being loaded and it just stops. The gears aren't even spinning. After about 5 minutes, I get a message that the game is not responding and to close. The people I play with said that during that time period, I'm showing as on-line, it's just not loading. I have tried many things, including re-installing the entire game and am still have this issue.

I am having the same issue. I cannot load into the game and when I do finally get lucky enough to load into the game I usually crash when I try and load into another area. Seems like a lot of people are having the same issue. Not sure the reason but it sucks. No word from GGG on it which makes it worse.

Same issue as well, began yesterday, can't get past character log in most of the time without the game locking up, a couple of times I get into the game but it locks up a few minutes later

Add: switched the renderer from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12 and my problem went away, if you reference this thread give it a try, an easy fix in display settings.
