Are points purchased from POE going to transfer over to POE 2?

I currently have 5k points to spend and are wondering if I will be able to use those points in POE 2. I'm hesitant to buy the supporter packs if the points do not transfer over to the new game.

Hi there, Jonathan (one of the game directors of Path of Exile 2) has stated that all of your purchases will be shared across both games unless it's hyper specific to the content of one of them :)

Alright thank you! I haven't seen the point question come up so I wanted to make sure I would be able to use them for the new title. It cant come soon enough =)
