Couldnt use any orbs on strongboxes because of controller

I found a rare Delve node (depth 330) with 3 white Diviner's boxes so I was thrilled to roll and corrupt them but when I opened my inv. to use the orbs (with a controller) there was no buttons I could press to do it. The mouse was limited to my inv. window. I tried everything and eventually had to open them white because logging out to change to keyboard and mouse would've lost me the node. So either I missed something on how to do it or it's still not implemented in the game? Thank you.
