Sanctum sacred mirror not duping rewards

3 times now I leave only divines at the end of sanctum and they don't dupe. Is it just a random chance? if yes then it's been completely useless for me.

It's not random chance whether it happens or not, but it also doesn't work like that.

The boons that duplicate rewards take effect immediately. If you don't have any rewards when you take them, they do nothing because there's nothing to duplicate with them.
