Extreme Graphics Lag
PC Specs:
CPU - Ryzen 7 3800X GPU - MSI RX6700 XT RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz SDD - WD 1 TB SN750Me M.2 I'm struggling to get 50fps at 1440, and 75 at 1080. In maps the frame delay jumps to 300-400ms and the FPS drops to 6-10 FPS. Any suggestions on how to fix this as no other games are installed on my solid state drive, yet all perform head and shoulders better than POE? I've tried all the different radeon settings, turned all the settings low on POE, DX 11, 12, Vulkan, and I'm still feeling like I'm playing on WIndows 95 with a P1 166Mhz when it comes to map spawns. You could try reinstalling your video drivers and/or trying DirectX11 mode with DXVK on top of it. See if Resizable BAR is enabled on your motherboard and Graphics Card.
Since PoE is pretty much a CPU-driven game, you could also try overclocking it, if you're comfortable with it. Last resource could be trying a Linux OS and see if things get better. In my experience, Windows AMD drivers tend to be buggy and PoE cache (at least the Steam version) wouldn't get save and loaded correctly so every time I booted the game up. the shaders would be to be entirely recompiled, when I switched to Linux (Arch btw), this problem was solved, still there's a half second where I don't see a effect on first bootup, but it's loaded/compiled much faster, so deaths because of stuttering are much less frequent. Framerates are comparable. | |
So,
Long story short, I ran DDU. I reinstalled AMD Drivers, without the AMD Software. Runs amazing. DX12, Windowed Fullscreen, most settings above default. I'm now getting around 130fps, with drops at max to 90-100. Apparently AMD's Radeon Software updated, and as such all the settings got screwed up. |
