Steam + Pathofexile multiple attempts to login

Hello,

Mac M2, it takes few hundred attempts to login to the character while running path of exile using steam client.

Game keeps crashing or shows the message Failed to connect to instance.

This is very frustrating for someone who has spend more than 2.5 k hours in the game.
