Game is unplayable, I suspect bios. (FIXED. It was the BIOS.)

My problem: The game ALWAYS crashes to desktop BEFORE I have a chance to input character name and password.
I have tried every suggested forum fix.

This started after I had my BIOS updated to fix the Intel Gen 14 critical error.

Before, game playable.
After, not playable.

I can't use the intel utility to overclock or set bios, this will have to be done by hand. And I am very concerned about turning my machine into a brick.

If any technical genius out there can explain what I should change, carefully, I would appreciate it.

Motherboard is a Gigabyte B760 DS3H AC DDR4, version x.x
CPU is Intel CORE 17 1400, 2100 MHZ, 20 cores, 28 logical processors. (This is NOT the K version, the intel utilities won't work on it.)

I assume BIOS is the most recent Gigabyte. That would be the F10D version out this month. (I could be wrong, the techies updated it for me.)

Any suggestions?

Fixed. It WAS the bios. Changing CPU performance core ratio from AUTO to 40 fixed the issue. :)
