Singapore gateway connections are consistently awful

Like never before, the Singapore gateway has been terrible. Some instances load, some crash, some experience significant latency issues. I have never had this experience before, even in similarily popular leages like Affliction. What is going on? The game is completely unplayable a third of the time I log in.
