Lag - frustration

How is it possible that in 2024 there's still so much lag and stuttering in a game like this? The experience is already delicate in some areas, and I still have to read about the sequel, but there isn't a single instance where the game runs smoothly. And that's playing on a console with a strong internet connection. Frustrating experience, as always...
