Sanctum Exarch balls showing only as flaming particles

I am playing on Dx12 and noticed the Sanctum balls are only showing up as the particles of flame, rather than like the balls you would see in the Searing Exarch fight. I tried changing settings while standing there and nothing seemed to have made the actual ball part show up.
