Ping spikes only on certain instances

Today I've been having random ping spikes in certain areas... seems completely random. I connect to the California server (where I live), says 6ms on the login screen, most areas are below 4-15.... randomly in some zones it jumps up to under 100, I'll go back to my hideout, or from my hideout back to the map, and it's back at 6ms. I pinged a bunch of CS2 servers in Cali and the ping looked normal, so I don't think it's related to my ISP.

I grabbed the last instance IP from my logs, pinged it and did a traceroute, results:

Any ideas?

It is now 8:50 PST and the issue SEEMS to be fixed.

My guess? My local node on GGG's end had some glitches going on that manifested due to increased traffic. None of this "it's ur end use a VPN leemao." If this happens to anybody else, make sure you complain about it and ignore trolls if for no other reason than GGG themselves may not even know it's occuring.
