Drop missing after server disconnects

Am I the only one troubled with the way the game treats sever disconnects? I mean, I am inside a map, full inventory of loot, I get disconnect and lose both loot and map with fragments.

So far it has happened to me 3 times this week. Luckly, I have not lost anything more than 1 divine worth. Yet I imagine what it would feel like to lose some lucky drop due to this.

I assume this must have been risen many times by now, yet I would like to understand - is this issue going to ever receive a fix? Please let me know.

Thank you.

The same: Game server lost contact with the realm.

Started today.
2 times in 15 minutes.
Perhaps that's enough for today.
Okay, it happened 3 more times, now I lost around 10d in common due to this. Who is going to repay me, GGG? :) Its not my fault.

As far as I can google, this has to do with how the game makes new "savepoints" (save your progress, loot you have picked up and so on).
A "savepoint" is only made on instance change --> you put a map + scarabs into the map device and go into the portal. When you are in the map, the game makes a new "savepoint" = your map and scarabs have been used.
If the instance crash in such a way that the system needs to revert back to last savepoint, well then you now know what means. So if you watch streamers, then they port back to the town right away when they get a "big" drop.

So sorry to say that this looks to be by game design of GGG.

Thank you for your answer. I understand how it works, yes.

And if I get a big drop I do put a portal. But if my farming strategy does not involve many big drops rather than a lot of small ones (e.g. most of my income is made on stack decks and harvest), I will be forced to use all the portals during the map completion to save my loot, which is simply weird :D

I think based on your explanation there is a simple solution - at least save the portals. If save is made during the instance change, they must stay there, don't they?

Actually the problem is not how savepoints are made "so to speak". Your main problem is that the instances you play in, crash.
There can be many reason to this so I can't speak to that.

TBH, I don't agree. Even though, yes, GGG must fix those crashes, (I am sure that is not on my side, since there was a que every time to log back in) crashes may happen at any time and there must be a way to protect game experience during those times.

What server are you playing on?
It looks like there is a problem with the Moscow server.
