Followed Loot Filters not Listing In-Game (Steam)
Hello,
Newbie here. I've been trying to get loot filters to load in-game by using the Follow method of the popular ones from the Loot Filter Ladder, but with no success. I'm using the Steam version which, as far as I can tell, I've correctly linked my Steam account to the POE account directly. I can see my character profiles, micro-transactions linked against the account, etc... I had initially logged in using the Steam Login option, rather than make a direct account, but have since linked my email specifically to the account. I've tried following various filters in an attempt to simply get them to appear in the Options menu List. I've tried to check on the Main Menu, on character select and in-game to see if there's anything. I've tried iterations of logging in via different methods on the website (Steam login and selecting filters, login with my email and selecting filters, etc...). Even tried to start up new characters and delete old ones. I've even tried varifying the game-files in case the install had an issue. Would the fact the game is installed on a different drive possibly influence the recognition of this? (I have Steam installed on my C Drive, but the game is installed on my secondary drive). Nothing seems to get them to recognise them, in-game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last bumped on Aug 5, 2024, 12:45:38 PM

Hello.
I'm not sure what the Loot filter ladder is but I've always used Neversink filters. download the latest filter in the link below. When you finish that you can copy any of the different styles. I just use the base ones 0-6. Then open path and go to game options, click the folder icon and that will bring you to where path is downloaded. Then you can paste the copied filters anywhere in there. Then they should be in the dropdown menu in-game. https://github.com/NeverSinkDev/NeverSink-Filter/releases | |
Hi Ram,
Thanks for the info. I was considering this option next when I get the chance to try it. It's just a little inconvenient if it updates again, as you need to manually update this each time Neversink updates the filter, I assume? The Neversink filters are one of the filters I tried to apply via the Loot/Item Filter Ladder feature I mentioned. It's actually the most subscribed-to shared loot filter set. The feature I'm talking about is located at the following link: https://www.pathofexile.com/item-filter/ladder/follower You simply select the filters from the list, then "Follow" the specific filter. It should then appear in your Item Filters inside of the Options tab, in-game. That should then grab the most up-to-date version of the filter. And keep itself up-to-date with no messing around. You need to be signed into your account on the web browser when you do this, understandably, and it should appear fairly quickly after the "follow". At least from the few different videos I've seen confirming the same thing I'm wondering if I have messed up the link somehow with this feature due to how I initially created the account. I had used my Steam account to sign in on the POE website first, then went and linked my email to the POE account to "finish" the account creation. It recognises the characters created (I tested out making one or two and deleting them after), along with the microtransaction and currency history. I've also tried downloading the launcher from POE website itself and signing in with the credentials directly, but still nothing. My only recourse, I think, is either bite the bullet and just manually update filters or possibly contact support to see if there's something odd going on with my POE account and Steam account being linked. I tried this Filter-Follow method with just my Steam sign-in to begin with, as well as after I had registered my email for a fully-fledged POE login for the website (use an email address and separate password from my Steam account). I've even unlinked the Steam account and tried, along with relinking and trying. Just very odd, considering the ease with which I've seen others use it. |

OK.
Solved the issue. I think... For whatever reason, when I was logging in via the London server, it didn't seem to refresh anything. Checked once again before doing anything and confirmed they had not loaded. I tried switching over to a different server (Amsterdam, in this case). Checked the list and it immediately populated with the filters. I switched back to London server and it loaded them instantly there too. So, either the server switching kicked it into life or something has kicked into life as I was fiddling. Regardless, all good now. Thanks again Ram. |
