cannot launch POE on m1 pro

downloaded installer, go to open game. the launcher opens and then when it is done i get the following message:

“Path of Exile” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

i managed to figure it out using some searchng on the web that lead me to this post:

honestly, what a random bug/workaround to get the launcher to run and install/download game. Luckily, I have experience with working with Unix systems, so it was not complicated for me, but, this should be fixed or at least flagged so that people who are not that technically inclined can easily know what is happening.
