Getting disconnected for "performing too many actions too fast"

Since this afternoon I've been unable to play the game or progress my character properly, because if stand still and attack for any extended period of time (such as when fighting a tanky rare mob or boss, i get kicked with the message "disconnected for performing too many actions too fast" being displayed on the character select screen.

I've not had this problem ever before, and at this point have no idea what to do.
For information i am playing a Deadeye using Elemental Hit of the Spectrum, which attacks a lot, however my friends character who definitely performs many more actions p/m does not have this problem.

Solved the issue, i disconnected then reconnected my keyboard, as it appeared to be repeating an input every frame when holding a key.
