Nameless Seer

Did I miss some obscure announcement that they removed Nameless Seer?

I have roughly 400 maps done and I haven't seen it... just seems odd to me.

I thought it just spawned off the expedition lantern or scarabs, can it spawn naturally?

Supposedly. I feel like its bugged or something... just doesn't feel quite right that I haven't seen one.
dude i have over 1.1 mill kills maybe 80% or more in t16 haven't seen a seer :|

I've run into him a few times. The update of it sending a message is a big improvement for not missing him. Obviously still very much dependent on RNG.

One of the times I found him, I did not have an option to scry, because I think it was on one of the memory maps. Which is not particularly helpful, since by the time you find him the unique rewards are often no longer particularly helpful.

on my expierence, 4 endgame map mechanics (sentinel, reflect mist, wildoood and nameless seer) are equal in chances to appear and can only exist one on a map.
If you often encounter 3 of these mechanics but not nameless seer so you just unlucky.
those mechanics chance to appear scales wtih map mobs count (not league mobs) so if you want to see them more often you can spawn more shrines, ritual, im 100% sure whose mechanics act like base map mobs, maybe some other mechanics too, but not mechanics like breaches or abyss.
When i want to find seer to scry a map, i do atlas with ritual (dont do this mechanics, just spawn ritual on your map for mob count) and shrines and i see endgame map mechanics much more often, hope this helps

You may be right, would make some logical sense if these are all connect and only one can spawn per map. Hard to say though, without direct knowledge.

The difference being with some of these is that 2 of them spawn at the start of the map and the other two seem to spawn of mobs. So sentinel and wildwood are pretty unmissable, but the other two may not spawn if the map is not cleared. So if they spawn with equal weighting at map creation, mist and seer might not be encountered as mush without full map clears. Certainly is an improvement with the message alert, but they would still be found less often than walking over one at the start of the map.

There seems to be a lot of conjecture about seer spawning off the last enemy of a certain type on the map, as it was with the necropolis lantern. I've also seen people suggest that adding certain content to the map can help get him to spawn, possibly because of this. Maybe this is fully know, but I have not seen any complete description of how it works, mainly just conjecture. Maybe that is just a myth and the increase is just as you say, from adding extra mobs.

It was helpful information, I did not understand that these were connected, but if they can only spawn one per map, that might be useful to know and notice the relative spawning. So far this league I think I've spawned about 1-4 of each, without juicing up maps fully.
