Cannot login and client crash with Steam users after character selection.

Please GGG create a work ticket to fix the crashing issues with Steam.
Is this only a MacOS with steam isolated problem?
Are other Steam users with MicroSoft experiencing the crash issue
after character selection?

Please generate a P0 ticket and escalate to the software and networking teams. Both GGG and Steam.

Having this same problem. Something I noticed by accident is once the game crashed back to title screen after character selection, and then going into Options, my loot filter is unloaded. If I try to choose a loot filter then, the game will crash all the way to desktop. I didn't memorize rest of my settings to see if anything else changed.

I have the same problem on OS X.

After the character selection it shows the error or crashes:

"Failed to connect to instance"


If it does not crash is says "Can not connect to login server" when I click login again.

Yesterday it worked just fine.

EDIT: Found some weird hints about audio in the crash report. I just set the channel count to LOW and also used the macbook speakers as device instead of my bluetooth headset and now I am able to connect!

Same here. For 3 days havent been able to play a single second. I am mac steam user as well. I notice when i first tried to log in something about my loot filter showed, like it wouldnt be loaded. Dont know if its related but the app has been crashing on me every single time if not just unable to connect to instance or server. Cant go past the character section and the graphics arent loaded 100%, its muddy and slow. Before this update i never had any type of problems.

Please GGG check on this, let us hear back from staff or something!
