Fog of War resetting when i leave an instance
This may have been a known issue, but i can't seem to find the fix for it:
anytime i leave an instance (eg. town portal), when i get back in the very same instance, the mini-map is reset. another thing i noticed, is that i do not see the "advertising" for the current leaque below the server-selection on the login screen Last edited by BunkerkindAnni on Jul 28, 2024, 4:17:16 AM Last bumped on Aug 17, 2024, 4:42:45 PM

I’m having the same issue on PS5

" The last time I had this issue was a few years ago and if I remember correctly it may have been caused by a read only file or a folder permission in the cache minimap folder. I don't recall if it was a Windows Defender or an Anti-Virus permission issue or a Windows Account type permission issue. If this is possibly the cause of your issue, you could temporarily or permanently change the storage location of the Path of Exile cache folder to see if this clears your problem. To do this: Exit PoE completely In File Explorer navigate to: Documents > My Games > Path of Exile Right click the production_Config.ini file and edit it with an app like notepad Search for cache_directory= Change the location to another location of your choice. Save the file after you're done ensuring the file is still named production_Config.ini Last edited by ps7ekken on Aug 12, 2024, 9:28:54 PM

haha, lol
you know what again, stupid GGG for defaulting such a config and cache by default into the "Documents" folder. its so braindead stupid... sorry. that folder is by default uploaded on Onedrive and also as such, synchronized on several machines if you are using multiple PCs... on my old PC, i have put the cache on drive G:... because i thought it makes no sense to have shader-cache files uploaded in the Microsoft cloud this machine doesn't have that many drives, but the config was synchronized. really, GGG WHY THE HELL IS THAT IN DOCUMENTS (and no, it seems that many game studios do that shit for saves and configs... but for cache files???) |
