MacOS - Please consider fixing "Failed to connect to instance" errors

Following the 3.25 update (steam), I can no longer open any character either on Standard or on Settlers (incl. SSF). Attempting to do so fails 100% of the time with a return to the login screen, where subsequent attempts to login then fail with "Unable to connect to login server". This later issue can only be fixed by restarting the client.

i am currently experiencing the same issue, on my first session this league i was able to lod, delete, then create a new character and run them through the first half of act 1 however i now cannot. i am also unable to update (or reinstall) the standalone client as it crashes upon completing the 40.8MB update

Yep, I am having the same issue. 4 days now of this. Was able to get playing yesterday on the standalone client but now not even that works. Please fix GGG.

Hey all. I have a temp fix however it does require dropping the res down to about 50% to avoid most Framerate issues (except busy areas still)
but what i did was delete all POE data and empty the bin. download new DMG and drag into applications. then right click and chose "show package contents". Then run the UNIX file not the application from there. once it finishes running it will prompt you to move it to bin as its corrupted so go ahead and do that. next go to: Library/Application support/path of exile and drag and drop the POE app from the recycle bin into this folder. Then right click open (Make sure you right click and not double click). should prompt another message and then click open anyway. This should get you in the game at least. Its allowed me to play despite having lower FR at times but ill suffer that just to get on xD Hope this helps |

Thats no solution for steam client. And it failes at creating instances after choosing a character. so that game is now unplayable for mac users. mabe only for arm chips, or mabe also on intel? i dont know.
