XBOX Controller/Headset conflict

I play on an XBOX Series X. I use a wired Gamesir controller, and a wireless Turtle Beach headset. Only in Path of Exile, when I turn my headset on, I lose all controller functionality in the game except for the Xbox button.

When I turn my headset off, controller now works, and I can toggle back and forth that way. However, there has to be a way to use both controller AND sound/voice at the same time right? What am I doing wrong?

None of my other games do this. Is there a setting somewhere I can change?
