New Update is Freezing on me

Never had an issue with my pc freezing while running PoE until today. Before launch I probably had 10+ freezes. It will freeze during the GGG splash screen, 5 feet after I move my new character, during the loading screen. It has been consistent freezing in any situation since the update came out. I hope to join the league soon but I was suddenly kicked in the stomach when I got back from work to find the game is freezing endlessly.

I am using Steam btw.
Graphics have been adjusted to no success.
I normally play windowed but tried doing window full, no success.
Everything is default, low or off.
I use a Nitro 5 Acer laptop with 32gbs of RAM and a decent cpu, the vid card is a 2060.

Had the same issue on the Acer Nitro 5. Turns out that PoE switched to DirectX 11 in the game settings. Changing it back to DX12 fixed it.
