macOS - "Failed to connect to instance" error

I started a new char at league launch and was fine, got to act 3.

Then came back after dinner, downloaded some little update, now I launch the game, connect a server, and when I try and load my character it loads for a sec then boots me, then I can't connect to any gateway.

Error is "Disconnected - Failed to connect to instance".

Then when I try and reconnect to any gateway, it says "Unable to connect to login server"

Any ideas?

if you click the gear icon in steam, then "manage", then "browse local files", and quit steam, then double click the path of exile app in the finder directly, it worked somehow! which makes no sense. hope this helps.

Just tried this way, I could login and create a char, but as soon as I want to enter the Twilight Strand the game just crashes. Or goes back to logon with "Unable to connect".

Steam, MacOs 14.5

Update: started the Steam PoE client outside of Steam, and managed to logon and play for some hours.
Then I went on a lunch break, closing my game. Big mistake.

Back to "Unable to connect" again, regardless of the method to start the game.

Edit: Rarely I manage to logon to character selection. But when trying to enter act2 town the client straight away crashes.

I logined, i waited 30 sec on character list, don't know is it helped

Hope this helps get this resolved.

Forgot to say that this is for the Steam client.

Same for me, either doesn't work. Login works into character selection but as soon as I want to enter the game with a char, this happens :(
