High ping and lag spikes

I am having consistent lag spikes occurring while playing PoE, and this doesn't happen with other games, which makes me believe the issue is not on my end. I have moved recently and my internet is now coming through cable instead of optic fibre, but I have not noticed any issues with any other internet related services.

The issue is often noticed at the start of instances but also later in the instance too, where my ping jumps from ~30-50 to several hundreds and even thousands, then gradually comes back down, stays there for a while and repeats.
