With new league coming up, is there a fix for EU Server ping?

Hey im from germany and in POE i struggle to find the correct Server. Sadly Server closest to me like Frankfurt and Amsterdam are not playable at all. The rest (Milan, Paris, London) are situational. Sometimes they work, sometimes i have high ping there aswell.

your internet packets take a weird path, german telecom routes them to america (4.68.71.113) which then forwards them to some clownflare server (which mainly collects data of all of your devices and sells them while pretending to companies that they protect their servers) before they hit ggg servers. the clownflare servers seem overloaded but german telecom is known to sell it's customers to other internet companies which leads to them avoiding the normal routing all other big intenet companies usually do. who's fault is it? hard to say, it's a combined cloudflare/telekomiker issue age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Actually the IP 4.68.71.113 for him would be in Germany. I'm not sure where you got the IP lookup information from but the second one on this page shows the correct info in the link below:
https://iplocation.io/ip/4.68.71.113 " I'd recommend you run a few more WinMTR tests to multiple server connections to actually get a solid answer to where your high ping is originating. Your initial WinMTR you linked appears to be ping spiking at your first hop up to 71ms p3e9bf4cd.dip0.t-ipconnect.de More info/tests would be recommended. A simple test as a base could be to Quad9 DNS 9.9.9.9 or even a website you visit regularly in EU. post that back with the other pastebin results of game servers. | |

unfortunately im not sure exactly what im doing, do i just do the test with the host you've posted, like this: https://i.imgur.com/e4NyoAR.png ?
The first test i used "au.login.pathofexile.com" but again, i have no idea what im doing ^^ Today i tried a vpn, it performed a little bit better, but i also tried russian server, and i had no laggs there. If russian server is stable for me, the problem would be solve. I'll check the next few days if i just got lucky. If you want me to post more results, please let me know what to use as host and ill post the result. |
