If you put enough stuff on the screen and slow down the gameplay, the frustration the players are having with the lack of fun will get blamed on inferior processors, poor internet etc. It's honestly brilliant game design. If nobody can effectively play the game, they won't know how bad it is.

Sony's proprietary version of direct x which is native to PS5 is not supported in this game.
You may have hit the nail on the head as to why the 3 year old issue has not been resolved.
It is my understanding that the "other" console format is fully supported and even gets 4k with working alpha channels, pallets, and bloom control function.
Just an observation.
