Connecting to this site deleted all of my characters

I have been playing PoE since Sanctum league, and have not had reason to get on here. Last night I created a login here, but when I logged into PoE this morning, all of my characters seem to no longer exist. I was running a level 86 character and really don't want to lose all of this progress.
