profile not synched with actual game

I haven't played in years and when I login to the website to set loot filters, the profile on the website doesn't match the steam profile that the game logs me into - so I can't use loot filters. Any advice?

You need to log in to this site through Steam (there is such an option when logging in). You can also connect this site account to the game account by linking email in settings (Secondary Login) after logging in via Steam. If you are not sure of your actions (incorrect connection can overwrite your game account), email at support@grindinggear.com.

Hey JustTheTip99! seaman is right on here. A good rule of thumb to avoid overwriting the account you actually want to keep when linking your accounts is to first ensure that you can see the characters you'd like to keep are displayed in the top-left corner of the page (the account you are logged in with is the one you will keep).
