need to change email locked out of acount

I'm locked out of my current email account attached to the account. I was playing on steam deck at different place. It's asking for a code to log back in said email. I tried changing my account to an email I have access to and It's either asking to log onto previous email I had before that I can't get into. Or the email didn't go through for some reason. Please helpp.
