Hideout decorations from MTX hideout

I just got the cosmic turtle hideout, and there are several new decorations in it labelled cosmic turtle planter, cosmic turtle arch, etc.

I can place copies of these in the turtle hideout, but if I switch hideouts they are no longer available in the menu. This is disappointing, I like the new plants and was going to try them in my old hideout.

Is this intended behavior or a bug? I had thought that unique decorations from purchased hideouts could be used wherever, based on the crystals and crystal statues from the timekeeper's hideout that I can use in other hideouts. But maybe those were always available and I just didn't notice them until I got that hideout.
