is it me or is the whole upgrade pack thing super misleading/confusing

Ok so right off the bat, I am a brand new poe player, first character etc.

So i wanted to grab a supporter pack because I am really enjoying the game and I wanted a cool skin + some stash tabs to help manage all the loot.

So I click M, theres a bunch of ads diverting me to the support packs, ok cool im down with the 40USD one that has some skins andf some other stuff cool.

purchase, copmplete. check, wait a minute i didnt get any of the items i clicked purcahse for. nor did i get the full value, it was 200 short. WTF????

so i message support, they state, oh you upgraded. dafuq? you purchased like a while back some 200 coin starter and this one was the upgrade and therefore you get the difference and the difference in items/cosmetics.

wait what! ok I am a dumb consumer i guess i didnt see upgrade, but WTF, this is hella sketchy/misleading. I love the game and want to support but this feels like a kick in the nuts.

so now i dont have $hit, no cosmetic, nothing from supporter pack that i can see ( i wanted the skins) just the 400 coin. Ontop of that, if i want to get the exact same thing, i can now go ahead and buy the 60 USD package ... wtf?

so basically i purchase the package, get something else, have no idea what the heck i just got for my $$, then the solution is to buy the same package at 60 usd...

am i crazy or does this sounds sketchy/misleading AF ?

Hey there,

I've taken a look into this and it appears that the Supporter Pack and its contents were added successfully to your account. If you are having any issues with this, please send us an email at support@grindinggear.com so that we may assist you further.

So I am still a bit confused here, your specific language in the support ticket is as follows:

[Removed by Support]

Now, this statement "the difference in price is paid, and the difference in Points and pack contents is received." -----> is eitehr poorly worded or can be construed in different ways, wtf does this even imply?

If i see this in any other purchase agreement, this basically means you are getting a pro-rated amount based on what you purchase.

so you pay 50/100 you get 50% of the value? but your reply indicates the complete difference?

so what is the exact meaning? Am I misundertanding this?

Yes it is confusing,
The differance between the packs, is the amount of points you recieve back to your MTX shop.
Also the option to use your previous points purchase to lower the cost, or buy as a new fresh pack.

Basically you have 2 options,

1. Buy a supporter pack with money.
You will receive the supporter pack and points included, to spend on further game shop MTX.

2. Buy the upgrade for a less money value,
This takes into account your previous points purchase, and uses this to reduce the offer so you can upgrade at lower cost.
You will receive the supporter pack, with less points added to your account.

I do think they need to work on the webpage layout for supporter packs so it is alot more clearer to glance at.
Its just a line of options reading downwards, and acts like a wall of text.

Would be better if GGG put the text, under the picture, instead of at the side,
and have picture, 2 x text, then a new picture, 2 x text and so on.

Another thing is that GGG need to make it more clear on this page, which ones you have actually purchased.
