A noob stuck in PoB (EA ballista)

So, I'm trying to dig a bit deeper in PoB and I'm kinda stuck with my build. I just don't understand where does 300% "more" come from in "Skill part, 100% per Explosive arrow stage after first". Yeah, i know it's a stupid question, but as mentioned before - i'm a noob.

This is mostly because you didnt adjust your config tab.

1. Compare your config to the other one and check all the relevant boxes (if applicable).

2. You are missing Elemetanl Equilibrium on your tree. I did only a quickcheck to make sure you dont have any source of fire dmg to attacks but cold or lightning and it seems to be the case, so you should be using EE.

3. You comparing 1 fuse of yours vs the "max sustainable amount".
You´ll have to correct that as well.

If you did all those 3 things, you´d end up with 28M dps vs 30M.


Thats plenty dmg and you wont notice the difference.
Regarding EE, I figured that I don't really need it, since I have the exposure gloves.

Regarding the ticks, yeah missed them, thanks for pointing that out.
So basically, this is the max dmg i can squeeze out of the guide, right?

BTW, did I miss something in defenses as well? I get one shot by a bunch of attacks, not even chaos ones, even with the suppress and res capped out.

The build you are playing is a squishy one and has to deal with a lot of delays.

- placing totems
- totems aiming
- totems firing and stacking fuses
- explosion applying dot
- dot kills mob eventually

This takes a lot of time and that allows mobs to hit you more often, which means one of your best defenses will always be movement and positioning.
Thats tough for a beginner, especially whenever the screen is full of mobs and projectiles and whatnot.

On top of that your res are not capped - unless you account for the bonus res provided by one of your flasks. If so, dont do that ever.
Flasks dont have a 100% uptime in this build, therefore nothing the flasks provide should be accounted for. Pretend they dont exist.


You can easily fix that by dropping the entire Watchtower wheel in the southeastern area of your tree, because you did anoint watchtower anyways and allocating it on the tree plus anointing it doesnt mean it stacks. So get rid of all of that, grab the totem mastery in any other totem wheel, doesnt matter which one. Then invest 2 points into chain & cloth, 3 points into Ash, frost and storm and 1 point into EE.

That allows you to reroll the eater mod on your gloves. Try to get accuracy because right now your chance to hit is only in the low 90%. Meaning about 10% of your explosive arrows will miss and never add fuses. So you are losing dmg right there.

If you want to increase your dmg even more, get more acc and atk speed.
Tbh, you shouldnt need more dmg unless you wanted to kill uber bosses. Other than that you should be more than fine.
